Yesterday evening the Ace Cafe T3 Racing team managed their first lap around the TT circuit. The Ace Cafe Racer rode well and rider David Johnson (DJ) said he was pleased with it. After speaking to Dave Harris from the Ace Cafe T3 Racing team there are minimal changes to be made.
The session was due to start at 18.20 but was delayed due to rain at Ramsey. The rained continued and it looked as though the riders may not even make it out but eventually it stayed dry enough to get one lap of the iconic circuit in.
Harris told us: “DJ said the bike was working really well for him, the handling was good, he was happy with the suspension. All we really need to do now is move some of the controls so he’s a bit more comfortable. But generally, it was very positive.”
After one lap the rain became heavy again and the team decided it was best not to go out again. The only concern now is whether the fuel tank will hold enough fuel for the race. Harris said at the moment they just don’t know:
“It’s difficult to say at the moment whether it’ll make it or not. We need to look at how much fuel we used in the last session. Only time will tell really.”
